Pink knitted Bolero

Started knitting this when my kids were crawling... when they started taking their first steps i had to put it aside... and finally managed to finish it awhile ago.

Wrap dress

This dress is made up of soo many pieces... because the fabric was not enough but it turned out just right!

Minnie Mouse Costume

Minnie mouse costume finally completed and it only took me 2 days to finish.
Its composed of a circle skirt, tulle on the inside of the skirt, kids shirt, ruffled sleeves and a bow for the hair.

My daughter just loves it. Now to finish the Mickey mouse costume for my son...  stay tuned!

Carnival Costumes

Its that time of year again..... when the kiddies get all dressed up and go to carnivals!!!
This year i decided to make mickey mouse theme costumes for the twins.
Evelina loves Minnie mouse and George just adores Mickey, so i just cant wait untill i begin their costumes their going to love them!!!

Just bought the fabric for Minnie mouse costume, i chose pink polka dot textile for the skirt and a matching pink toule for the inside.
Still contemplating on the mickey mouse costume... haven't made any progress yet.
For the ears, im thinking of buying a headband, cutting out two circle pieces of cardboard and dressing it with the pink polka dot fabric.

Cant wait to start sewing!!!!

Shirt with neck tie

Well... this is my first attempt in making a shirt... and one thing is for sure the fabric didn't help one bit (it was so slippery) but if you don't go in the deep end you will never learn.  Also the arrangement of the pattern on the fabric was a challenge because as always this was fabric i had in my stash and was not bought for this specific project. A lesson to be learned only buy fabric with a specific project in mind to avoid problems with the fabric amount. In the end it always works out but you always have to adjust the seam allowance in order to have it accommodated on the fabric nicely. Cant wait till i'm finished too see how it will turn out.

Black & White Pants

My Black & White pants, i love these pants....
When i went fabric shopping as soon as i saw this textile i knew i had to make a geometrical shapes and black and white collection of clothes. The original idea can from the last photo you see and i think they turned out quite good. Although to be honest, i still haven worn them yet... i take my bike to work often and i feel that this is not appropriate bicycle gear but nonetheless.
The fabric was easy to work with and the pattern,  after drafting a couple of pants was a snap. Although i did have to readjust the size.

Now just to make a top to go with these pants.... projects just keep coming up i don't know what to do first.
Not to mention, with Halloween on the way, i have to sew costumes for the kids....!!!
