Well... this is my first attempt in making a shirt... and one thing is for sure the fabric didn't help one bit (it was so slippery) but if you don't go in the deep end you will never learn. Also the arrangement of the pattern on the fabric was a challenge because as always this was fabric i had in my stash and was not bought for this specific project. A lesson to be learned only buy fabric with a specific project in mind to avoid problems with the fabric amount. In the end it always works out but you always have to adjust the seam allowance in order to have it accommodated on the fabric nicely. Cant wait till i'm finished too see how it will turn out.

Black & White Pants
My Black & White pants, i love these pants....
When i went fabric shopping as soon as i saw this textile i knew i had to make a geometrical shapes and black and white collection of clothes. The original idea can from the last photo you see and i think they turned out quite good. Although to be honest, i still haven worn them yet... i take my bike to work often and i feel that this is not appropriate bicycle gear but nonetheless.
The fabric was easy to work with and the pattern, after drafting a couple of pants was a snap. Although i did have to readjust the size.
Now just to make a top to go with these pants.... projects just keep coming up i don't know what to do first.
Not to mention, with Halloween on the way, i have to sew costumes for the kids....!!!

My ambitions
Starting this blog is really a way of dealing with all my energy and excitement I have about sewing and creating garments from an abstract idea to finished seams. As I live in a small city I guess the Internet is a great way to express my pasvsion in this art and find others who have the same interests. I like to sew and knit... And I like talking about my projects even more, from the fabrics that I use to the type of stitch that is suitable for each textile.
I'm a mother of three year old twins And a real estate agent in occupation. I have to admit that, lately I have been drafting patterns during working hours (its a good thing that I'm my own boss) and my hubby is very supportive.
In this blog I intend to talk about my projects from the initial pattern to my progress in its sewing, while hoping to receive feedback from my community of followers.
I hope that sew bee queen will be sew much more and a collection of experiences along the way.
